what time is check-in and check-out?

Check in is 4pm and check out is 11am. I am so sorry but exceptions are not possible as the cleaning staff need the full time to ensure your place is clean upon arrival. As we are a small duplex house without a reception desk, there is unfortunately nowhere to store luggage we suggest going to a museum or any hotel to use their baggage checks for a small fee ($5). Or, use a service such as bagsaway.ca. Please read the house rules page for more info.

How do i get in?

Please follow the check-in instructions I emailed you. There are 3 lockboxes, and the check in doc will tell you where the lockbox is for your apartment. You will receive the lockbox code after your final payment, sometime the day before your arrival.

How do i contact you?

Since this is an apartment hotel, there is no reception desk or 24 hour concierge. Email is best and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Please read the check-in document (emailed to you before your arrival), the welcome book (on the table in your apartment), and the FAQ page on this website before reaching out, as it answers most questions.

Do you have parking?

Unfortunately, as a tiny row house in downtown Toronto, there is no free parking provided. The cheapest nearby garage is JustPark at 251 Richmond St E (416) 274 3401. It’s about $15 for 24 hours. Otherwise you can drive around as there are tons nearby, or search on google. Here are 2 other options:
1. 256 Adelaide St E - 416-393-7275
2. 88 Queen St E, Toronto, ON M5C 1S1 - Phone: (416) 506-1000
Do not park in the lot at George and Britain Street as you will be ticketed and towed.

How do I get there?

Please see the directions page for directions from every airport and major station. Also, please use google maps and select walking, public transportation or car to see various options. The address is 141 George Street, Toronto M5A 2M6.

Can I hold an event there?

No, we have a strict no party or event policy. Please see house rules for more info.

How do I get to the Rogers Centre / Aquarium / CN Tower from there?

The house is centrally located downtown, only 10 minutes walk from the Eaton Centre. For additional directions please check out google maps.

The appropriate amount of linens will be available to everyone staying at the apartment. If you require extra linens, please ask but an additional fee may incur if it is more than the number of guests you reserved. Feel free to use the onsite washer/dryer for no extra charge. There is also an iron and ironing board in the closet for your use.

are linens and laundry provided?

What is the deposit or hold on my card and when will i get it back?

Depending on which site you booked through, your card may have been charged a deposit, or a hold may have been placed on your card. Deposits are standard for vacation rentals and holds are standard for hotels. These are a hold against possible damages. Your refundable deposit is returned automatically according to the timeline of the website from which you booked; from 24 hours to 2 weeks. Information about your deposit or hold is detailed on your booking website, before and after you booked.

Apartment hotels have cleaning fees as more is involved when cleaning a full apartment. Also, a hotel can lower their cleaning costs as they employ full time cleaners at minimum wage. (But don't be fooled, hotels raise their costs in other ways and hotel cleaners do a quick job). The advantage is that you stay in a larger space, our cleaners are much more skilled, and you still pay less than a hotel, overall.

Why is there a cleaning fee?

The Wifi password is in the welcome book on the table in your apartment.

What is the wifi code?

My favourite nearby restaurants are the George Street Diner, Enat Buna (say "George Street Suites" for a discount) and The George. Also please check my recommendations on the City & Culture page.

Can you recommend a restaurant?

Feedback?

Please feel free to give me feedback. Don’t be shy to give tips, such as needing more bowls, or a door isn’t closing properly. I don’t know if things go wrong unless people tell me. Email is best.
